Melissa Florance-LynchCongratulations to Melissa Florance-Lynch of Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® in Pompton Plains for being selected to receive the prestigious North Central Jersey Association of REALTORS® (NCJAR®) “REALTOR® of the Year” Award for 2021.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and earned her New Jersey Brokers license in 2001. She currently serves as the Broker-Manager of Business Development for Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® Pompton Plains office. Melissa is a Trustee of NCJAR® and past Trustee of PCBOR®. Melissa is a consistent top producer and recipient of NJR® Circle of Excellence Award for many years. She has also contributed her time in participating on NCJAR® committees such as Grievance, Legislative, MLS, Professional Standards and RPAC. On the National level, she has attended the Legislative Conference Committee meetings in Washington D.C. where she met with Congressmen and Senators to advocate for policies related to homeownership and REALTORS®.

Known for her caring and giving nature, Melissa is a long-time supporter of the Deborah Heart & Lung Center and Hospital Foundation Greater Pompton Valley Chapter. She actively serves in the Suburban Woman’s Club of Pompton Plains, The Pequannock Chamber of Commerce and the Pequannock Valley Rotary. Melissa has also served and represented the residents of Pequannock Township for the past 11 years as Councilwoman, Deputy Mayor, as well as Mayor in 2014 and 2017. She is currently serving as Deputy Mayor for 2021.

Michael Mike McDonnellCongratulations to Michael McDonnell, of Prominent Properties Sotheby's International in Montclair, for being selected to receive NCJAR's Rookie of the Year Award. The Rookie of the Year Award is bestowed on a member who has been a REALTOR® for three years or less and displays exemplary work in the business and humanitarian sectors.

Mike attained his real estate license in May 2019. In his 2.5 years in the business, Mike has closed 31 transactions totaling $27,000,000 in business. Mike is part of a two-person team with NJ Realtors® COE Platinum Award Winner and Top-Producing agent, Christian Dubuque-Strenz. Mike serves on the Advisory Board of Toni’s Kitchen Food Ministry and volunteers regularly. He is also the Committee Chairperson of the Northeast Elementary School PTA, Team Manager for Montclair United Travel Soccer and is a Coach for the Montclair Baseball Little League.

Mike truly exemplifies what the REALTOR® “spirit” is all about, and we are very proud that he is a member of our NCJAR REALTOR® family.

Jaina LallyCongratulations to Jaina Lally, of Goosehead Insurance - The Robinson Agency in Verona, for being selected to receive NCJAR’s “Affiliate of the Year” award for 2021. The Affiliate of the Year Award is bestowed on an Affiliate member who has been actively involved in the North Central Jersey Association of Realtors® contributing their time and energy in supporting the Association’s community service initiatives.

After spending eight years running a successful entrepreneurial business in the Maplewood area, Jaina sold her business in February 2018 to try something new and joined her friends in the insurance world. A year later they merged their agency with a national brokerage to become Goosehead Insurance - The Robinson Agency. Jaina serves a vital role for her team where she oversees client experience, internal and external education and training, and strategic partnerships. Jaina is also involved in charitable work. She is Co-chair of the Diversity + Inclusion committee for the South Orange Elks Lodge, serves on the West Orange Chamber of Commerce board, and does regular, annual fundraising for Covenant House New Jersey. She became a NCJAR Affiliate member in 2019 and hit the ground running, utilizing all the organization has to offer.

Jaina truly exemplifies the “team spirit” of our Affiliate members and we are very proud to have her as a member of our NCJAR REALTOR® family.

On Monday, October 4, 2021, 250+ NCJAR members attended our Annual Virtual Membership Meeting. NCJAR members had a unique opportunity to celebrate their peers, learn about NCJAR’s many benefits, and receive an informative and encouraging presentation by “Coach” Jackie Leavenworth. Members also approved NCJAR’s 2022 Budget and Slate of Officers and congratulated NCJAR’s 2021 REALTOR®, Rookie and Affiliate of the Year.
