EVENT CODE OF CONDUCT
North Central Jersey Association of Realtors® (NCJAR) is committed to fostering a professional, respectful, and inclusive environment at all its events. This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, including members, guests, speakers, exhibitors, vendors, staff, and volunteers, and governs behavior during NCJAR hosted events regardless of location.
All participants are expected to treat one another with dignity and respect, refraining from any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive conduct. Offensive language, gestures, or imagery are strictly prohibited, whether in person or through digital platforms associated with the event. Participants must respect the policies of event venues, protect property, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including those related to discrimination and harassment.
Harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment, verbal abuse, non-verbal intimidation, or discrimination based on protected characteristics such as but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability, is strictly prohibited. Physical or verbal abuse, disruptive behavior, intoxication, or substance abuse that impedes responsible participation in event activities will not be tolerated. Participants who witness or experience misconduct are encouraged to report violations to NCJAR staff, who will handle complaints promptly and confidentially in accordance with the law and organizational policies.
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in actions taken by the CEO, in consultation with NCJAR leadership, which could include issuing a warning, removing the participant from the event without refund, suspending or revoking NCJAR membership, or referring the matter to law enforcement if necessary.
We value your attendance and thank you for your cooperation and commitment to ensuring a positive experience for all.
