The New Jersey Real Estate Commission (NJREC) licensing period from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2025, all licensees need to complete a total of 12 credit hours of Continuing Education (CE) in specified categories. However, if an agent became a salesperson licensee after July 1, 2024, they are exempt from CE requirements for this cycle and will start their CE in the next cycle.
Here's a simplified breakdown of the CE requirements:
- 1 Hour on Fair Housing and New Jersey Law Against Discrimination
- 2 Hours on Ethics
- 3 Hours on Core topics
- 6 Hours can be a mix or entirely from one category, including Electives, Ethics, Core, or Fair Housing, adding up to a total of 12 hours.
It's important to note:
- Ethics credits can replace Core and Elective credits, but Core and Electives can't replace Ethics credits.
- Credits from Ethics, Fair Housing, and Core categories can all be used in place of Electives.
- Salesperson Referral changing license types must complete their CE entirely in Core or Ethics topics.
To check your CE progress, you can use the PSI Online CE Tracking System.
