is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Gilligan, Weichert, Maplewood, NJ.
Carol was raised in Orange and has lived in Maplewood for over 50 years. She entered her worklife as an art teacher before a long and successful career as a realtor, ending as the Manager of the Weichert Maplewood office. Throughout her tenure in Maplewood, Carol was an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club. Perhaps her greatest pride and joy was her role as a grandmother to 5 loving grandchildren.
The family is receiving friends at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood on Wed, Oct 4th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A memorial service will be held St. George's Episcopal Church, 550 Ridgewood Rd, Maplewood on Thursday, October 5th at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to vbgardens.org, the Puerto Vallarta botanical garden which is a beautiful place that Carol and Michael spend many a happy time, would be appreciated.
To the Gilligan family and friends, we extend our heartfelt condolences on behalf of the entire board and the NCJAR community. During this challenging time, may Carol’s memory serve as a source of comfort and strength. He will be dearly missed, but his legacy of compassion, dedication, and kindness will forever be cherished in our hearts.
