Habitats Womens Build 2025An Invitation to Serve, Build, and Empower Together

NCJAR is proud to partner once again with Habitat for Humanity in support of their inspiring Women’s Build initiative—an event dedicated to empowering women to take an active role in building stronger communities through volunteerism, leadership, and service.

On Monday, May 12, 2025, we’re calling on the incredible women of NCJAR to join us at 103 Valley View Drive in Rockaway, NJ, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM for a full day of hands-on service. Whether you’re a seasoned DIY expert or have never picked up a paintbrush before, this is your opportunity to give back, grow your confidence, and experience the impact of building—literally and figuratively—side by side with other motivated women.

What to Expect:
This volunteer day may include tasks such as painting, sweeping, installing flooring, or assisting with other general construction duties. While we won’t know the specific tasks until we arrive, what’s guaranteed is a rewarding experience filled with teamwork, connection, and purpose. All necessary tools and safety equipment will be provided.

No previous construction experience is necessary—just come dressed for physical work, ready to “get your hands dirty,” and with a can-do spirit. Volunteers will receive a brief on-site orientation and training to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe on the build site.

Why Women’s Build Matters
Habitat for Humanity’s Women’s Build is a unique initiative designed to bring women together to construct affordable housing while addressing the persistent challenges many families face in securing safe, stable homes. It’s also a chance to break stereotypes and build confidence, proving that women are fully capable of tackling traditionally male-dominated roles in construction and real estate development.

For NCJAR, participating in Women’s Build reflects our ongoing commitment to community service, housing advocacy, and the empowerment of women both within and beyond our organization.
