We recognize the importance of celebrating Pride Month as it helps bring awareness to the rights and dignity of all LGBTQ+ individuals. The month of June reminded us that we must continue to support our LGBTQ+ communities by providing resources and advocating for equality.
Real estate agents have a unique role in helping LGBTQ+ individuals find or purchase their perfect home. Agents should be aware of the needs and concerns specific to this community, such as legal protections for same-sex couples when it comes to mortgages, tenancy laws, and other real estate related matters.
At NCJAR, we strive to provide our members with the training they need to help ensure LGBTQ+ individuals are given the same opportunities as all other home buyers and sellers. We also work with local groups, organizations, and businesses to create a welcoming environment for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
We’re proud to be part of this important celebration and we look forward to continuing our commitment to creating an inclusive real estate market that serves everyone with respect, dignity, and equality.
