NCJAR is a Global Ambassador Association appointed by the National Association of REALTORS®: The Global Business Council oversees our Ambassador relationship with the Dominican Republic. The National Association of REALTORS® coordinates a sharing and network alliance with real estate entities across the globe.
NCJAR and the Dominican Republic, a perfect partnership, by the numbers: NCJAR® is the largest local association in New Jersey with approximately 16,000+ members. Dominican Americans are the fifth largest Hispanic group in the United States, and according to the US Census estimated data, 3.4% of the New Jersey population are Dominican. Due to our large REALTOR® membership, substantial coverage area, along with our emerging Global Council, there is great alignment. New Jersey’s own Paterson is classified in the top three US Communities with the largest Dominican population (only behind New York City and Lawrence, Massachusetts), we also rank #9 for Jersey City, #10 for Newark, #11 for Passaic, #12, Union City, #16, Elizabeth, and #19 for West New York. In addition, 18.9% of residents in Paterson claim Dominican ancestry, 17.76% in Passaic, followed by 15.2% in Union City according to 2010 census data. Nationally speaking, 77.9 billion-dollar volume in foreign buyer residential purchases occurred during the period of April, 2018 - March, 2019. New Jersey ranks #5 in top international buyer destinations according to the Profile of International Activity in U.S. Residential Real Estate (2019).
